October Storm

A light fuzzy blanket of fog wrapped around invisible islands, soothing them from the stormy bay.

Raging gray waves tipped in white whipped foam with the muted edge of the sea indistinguishable from the edge of the sky.

Blustering bursts of heavy winds whip up a swirl of leaves and limbs dancing and twirling and crashing into piles below.

Seagulls delight in the surf, riding waves of wind and water, gales of the storm pouring sheets of rain over everything in sight.

Heavy seas heave and ho, to and fro, crashing and smashing the beach with a vengeance. The briny smell of seaweed and clams and salt fills the air with that unique seashore scent.

A beautiful, frightful, delightful

October storm.
