Dripping Dripping Dripping

The world is soaked

In liquid skies

Pouring down

Drenching the earth, the trees, the birds

Gray drips pouring from gray clouds

Wind pushing clouds toward the north as they appear to rise up from the hilltops only to be dispersed quickly across the sky

Hummingbirds and woodpeckers shake off the beads of gray drips and go about their daily routines

Sparrows pick at the breadcrumbs thrown out for their delight.

Raindrops pour gently then fiercely over every dried up flower in the garden

Dripping soulful pleasure to those who love it

Dripping tortured gray to the souls of those who don’t
